23rd SOL LIONS GOLD AWARDS THIS TIME WITH A CAUSE

A bold initiative by Lion Dr. Raju V Manwani is back again with equal enthusiasm and gesture to honour the winners contribution in their respective fields, this time with a view to support and encourage “Swachh Bharat – Clean India”

"23rd Sol Lions Gold Awards" witnessed tinsel town's ladies display their most charming avatars while the men pulled off their most handsome looks. The awards night as expected brimmed with several Bollywood & Television A- Listers sought after actors including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Govinda, Armaan Malik, Sonu Nigam, Manish Paul, etc. Television stars like Kushal Tandon, Rajesh Khattar, Salman Yusuf Khan, Shaheer Sheikh & Erica Fernandes, Dilip Joshi, Disha Vakani, Asit Modi, Remo D'souza and many more.

Lion Dr. Raju V Manwani exclaims, “HEALTHY MIND AND HEALTHY BODY IN A HEALTHY AND CLEAN INDIA.” The 23rd SOL Lions Gold Awards is a musical extravaganza recognizing and honouring exceptional contributions in fields as diverse as films and television, sports, medicine, entertainment, construction etc.

The evening was anchored by the very charismatic Rithwik Dhanjani who spun his magic and kept the audience engaged with his wit, energy and charm. Apart from his anchoring the extravaganza also witnessed captivating performance of effervescent and charming troupe perform on Ganesh Vandana seeking blessings and dancing away which was followed by special performance by Deepshikha Nagpal.

Enlighten India presents

Photography Pitch 2017

Hunt for the best fashion photographers across the country and around the globe.

Photography Pitch 2017, where fashion meets art, aims to recognize professional, emerging and student photographers through our youth magazine Enlighten India. Editorial stories, runway shots and street scenes are all welcome.

Along with its celebrity cover stories, Enlighten India is popularly known to provide a platform for young faces in the respective categories of: Model of the Month, Fresh Face, Eye Candy and Glam Candy. The participant can send pictures of female models that best suit any of these categories.

Entries open on the 8^th of January and will close on the 7^th of February, 2017.

· Prizes include a one-page feature of the winning photographs with a profile of the winning photographer which will be featured in our magazine under any one of the aforementioned categories and an exclusive opportunity to conduct a photoshoot with our cover page celebrities for our upcoming issues. The selected winners will have their winning photographs featured in Enlighten India’s February, March, April and May issues of 2017.

· The winning photographer, if required, may have to meet us at our Mumbai office if he/she is interested for future prospects.

VETERAN ACTOR OM PURI PASSES AWAY AT 66

Om Puri leaves the entire Bollywood in shock and grief as he was "found dead" (as quoted by his family) in his bed at his home in the western city of Mumbai early on Friday, 6th January 2017. Reports claim that the actor died of a heart attack.

The prolific actor is known to have done both art and mainstream cinema. He rose to fame with films like 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' and 'Maachis'. He's also portrayed some unforgettable roles through films like 'Ardh Satya' and 'Aakrosh'.

On the international front, he is known for his iconic role in the British hit 'East is East'.

Puri was also awarded an honory OBE for his contribution to the British Film industry in 2004.
