VETERAN ACTOR OM PURI PASSES AWAY AT 66
Om Puri leaves the entire Bollywood in shock and grief as he was "found dead" (as quoted by his family) in his bed at his home in the western city of Mumbai early on Friday, 6th January 2017. Reports claim that the actor died of a heart attack.
The prolific actor is known to have done both art and mainstream cinema. He rose to fame with films like 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' and 'Maachis'. He's also portrayed some unforgettable roles through films like 'Ardh Satya' and 'Aakrosh'.
On the international front, he is known for his iconic role in the British hit 'East is East'.
Puri was also awarded an honory OBE for his contribution to the British Film industry in 2004.
