Guru Bhakti is our best opportunity to experience divinity in this human life. In the Hindu tradition, Bhakti is associated with the deep love and devotion that one feels for God. The sixth and the present spiritual guru of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, reiterates his message to a whole new generation, backing each ideology with logic that is relevant and relatable. Many things in life are fleeting, but the values that the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha teaches, are universal in application and, thus, remain with the individual through life’s journey. BAPS believes in developing individuals in every aspect of their lives: academics, career, personal skill sets and talents, cultural curiosity and affinity, volunteer service, and most importantly, spirituality. The Mission’s present spiritual guru, HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, is an enduring and merciful social worker; God-realized sadhu. He spells divinity by simply reforming society; He spiritually charges it with faith, virtue, and integrity. The emphasis of this issue is on the ‘Spirit’ and that the end of all knowledge is service – service of the poor and lowly, the sad and the afflicted ones. As you read through the wonders created by Him and the BAPS Mission, you’ll be surprised to witness the power that His teachings hold. His life and work speak for themselves.
